A standard oil seal can be effective in clean or moderately dirty service, but muddy sites add continuous external loading. Fine particles can migrate under a dust lip while coarse grit abrades the contact track. An integrated COMBI seal adds multiple exclusion stages so contamination is managed before it reaches the lubricant-retention lip.
The COMBI layout is best suited to applications with repeated mud splash, packed soil or mixed particle sizes. Actual performance still depends on correct size, material, speed, pressure, shaft condition and installation.
